– Our Mission
“To support the regeneration of Dunmore East Harbour, its industries and community through the promotion of quality local enterprises, products and services.”
– Who we are
The Dunmore East Harbour Regeneration Trust evolved from an action group formed in 2012 by a cross section of the local community, in an effort to ensure that the needs of the local community and fishing industry were met and their voices heard.
– What we do
In the belief that the economic health of the harbour is essential to the ongoing development of all sectors in the town’s economy, we have initiated multi-partner projects with organisations such as Bord Iascaigh Mhara, Waterford Institute of Technology and Leader to improve the economic life of the area. We believe this is the pathway to full and diverse employment for our young people and community as a whole.
Waterford Institute of Technology, in collaboration with Dunmore East Fisheries Local Action Group, received funding to develop a 5 year plan for the harbour and village. We value everyone’s opinion and ideas on the future direction of Dunmore East and we would be very grateful if you would take a few minutes to complete the attached survey. These results will inform our plan and your views are important to us. If you would like any further information on this survey or the five year plan please contact Yvonne Byrne at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you click on the link below it will take you to the survey.
